“Chasing light & happy moments..”
Hello new friends! If you're here, I'm guessing you'd like to know a little more about crazy old me!
So where do I start?
I'm a full blown northerner who loves the hills and finding beauty in simplicity. I generally laugh at my own jokes, and I feel pretty awkward describing myself. It doesn’t take much to make me happy. A good bottle of Gin or a mug of Yorkshire Tea is the best way to my heart. I love a little adventure in the hills or to another country soaking up the culture. I'm a sucker for sunrises and sunsets, anything romantic and my kids smile. When I am not behind my camera pouring my heart into my work, you’ll find me getting lost in the hills of the Peak District with my mischievous pooch Roxy, my fiancé Gaz and our little munchkin Rhys, cuddled up on the sofa with a bucket of tea (or more often than not, Gin, either binge watching Game Of Thrones or planning my next adventure or cracking out the DIY on the renovation project that is currently our 1800s home.
My very first camera was given to me by my parents on a family holiday in Norfolk when I was 6. One of those cheap, plastic disposables that didn’t always work. The hope was that it would keep me entertained enough to keep me out of trouble whether it worked or not. Oh how wrong my parents were. Little did they realise that, that camera sparked an ever growing love. Being a little adventurer, photography allowed me to explore the world around me, capturing the raw, emotional moments of everyday life that often get overlooked. Today as a new mum, I know how truly important it is to capture such moments, not just for yourselves but for your little ones in the future too. To remember you and them, the highs, the lows and all the adventures in between, adding to the chapters in your little book of life.
